My sweet husband, Chris, turned 30 last Friday. We had our family and friends over to celebrate. I may or may not have gone a little overboard creating things that I’ve discovered on Pinterest. It turned out great and we had such a great evening. Once again, my Mom came through by helping me complete all my big ideas.
I truly am blessed to have been given such an amazing husband. I say given because I know where I was in my life when we met. I know that it is nothing short of God’s grace and love for me that our paths crossed. I come from a not so happy home, with a not so amazing father. I am daily learning to let Chris love me. I am constantly surprised with his unending patience, generosity and genuine love. I have a husband who not only loves me, but was on board from the very very beginning of our adoption journey. Every big decision we have had to make, we’ve been on the same page. Sometimes I take that for granted, but I am realizing more and more what a miraculous thing that is. Seriously, I am crazy blessed. Happy birthday to the man who God made perfectly for this time, for our family. I love you!

Teneke W - Hi, I was looking through google images to pin pictures I like on pinterest. Your party looked amazing and I really love the colours you used. My husband isn’t really into sport or anything so it’s hard to come up with a theme. I am gathering ideas already about what to do for my husband’s birthday in December. Mainly because I will have my daughter’s first birthday and my husband’s 30th within a week of each other and I want to do events for both… maybe a little ambitious :p. Thanks for putting your pictures up and I think I will follow your blog in the future. You seem like a really cool person with similar interests to me, and especially because you are a sister in Christ :D Yay!
