Coming out of our Cocoon {First big family outing}

After several weeks of cocooning, I was getting cabin fever. We have a very active teenage boy and we didn’t want his entire life to come screaming to a halt. Throughout our cocooning time with Maya, we made an effort to keep Alain entertained. He spent quite a bit of time with his grandparents, Aunt Casey and Uncle Travis. They have been so good to us and to him. Chris also made sure to take Alain out so he wasn’t stuck in the house all the time.
However, it was starting to feel like we had two separate families, Chris and Alain, and me and Maya. It was time to go out and do something together. Alain LOVES the zoo and it is a pretty calm place, so that was our first big family outing. It went really well. We left the house right after Maya’s morning nap and left the zoo when it was time for her afternoon nap. Feeling like a whole family was so amazing. Here are some photos from our day.
