If you have been following our blog for a while, you may remember our charity:water campaign from the end of 2010. In the beginning our plan was to raise funds to build one well (click here for our first post about the well). Within the first month of our campaign, enough money had been raised to build one well. God didn’t want us to stop there, so we added a second well to the plan (to read Chris’ account of our decision to build a second well, click here). With 22 days left in our 3 month campaign, the $10,000 needed to build two wells had been donated (To read the post about reaching $10,000, click here). It was a beautiful miracle of generosity. We are so blessed have such great friends and family to surround us.
Then 5 days after we received Maya’s referral, we got an the email below from charity:water. Maya’s Wells were complete! What wonderful timing! Within one week, we saw our daughter’s face for the first time and saw the faces of those impacted with clean water. Thank you to everyone who supported this campaign. We are so grateful.
