Our sweet boy has been home almost 6 months. Last Thursday, he began the first subject of his sophomore year. That’s right, in less than 6 months he completed his freshmen year of high school in the USA. We are so ridiculously proud of him. He is smart, dedicated and quite curious. His personality is perfect for the huge transition that he is making.
Chris and I answer hundreds of questions a day. Many times, I have to say “I don’t know.” He thinks about things that I have taken for granted for years. Like where exactly the air comes from for the car’s AC. Who makes coins and dollar bills? Does the President carry his own gun? How do you call this? How can I do this? Is that car fast? It is expensive? What is that car? And just today, he was laughing in amazement about a conversation he had with several other boys this morning. “It is amazing. How can I understand them? And the understand me!” His progress has been amazing! We love you Alain!!
